Sidney Poitier – 91
The 1950s was the decade in which Sidney Poitier first stepped into the Hollywood scene, and he became an idol for African-American people all across the United States, and even the world. During his career as an actor he has appeared in Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner, Lilies of the Field and In the Heat of the Night. He went on to win an Academy Award and a Golden Globe, amongst others, for his impeccable performances. He created himself a nice $25 million net worth for his work. Over the years he has been an avid speaker about racism, and also engages in a great deal of charity work. Now aged 91, he has slowed down a bit to enjoy his old age.
