199. Christopher Pettiet – DRUG OVERDOSE
Not many remember Christopher Pettiet as his largest roles were that of Jesse James in the series The Young Riders and as Zach Crandell on Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead. Like many other young actors, he fell victim to the prevailing drug culture and developed a crippling drug addiction. Unwilling to go to a rehab facility, he accidentally overdosed and died in April 2000, at just 24 years old. His acting coach, Kevin McDermott, founded a scholarship in his name in order to allow aspiring actors to attend the school where Christopher had studied.
