Der heute 72 Jahre alte Ex-Fußballfunktionär hatte nach dem Ende seiner Karriere im Fußball eine Karriere im Fernsehen begonnen und tritt heute regelmäßig als Moderator und Fußballexperte auf. Des Weiteren war er und ist auch heute noch ein gern gesehener Gast in vielen Fernsehsendungen. Mit 70 Kilo weniger auf der Waage wird er sicherlich seine Jahre im Alter noch viel besser genießen können.
