Dame Judie Dench ha trovato successo nel lavoro teatrale insieme alla sua recitazione in diversi film. Sebbene sia nota soprattutto per far parte di numerosi film di James Bond, Dench originariamente ha ottenuto elogi per le sue esibizioni in spettacoli shakespeariani come Macbeth e Otello.
