Alan Alda é outro ator sobre quem falaremos e que apareceu na série M*A* S*H. Ele é conhecido por interpretar o personagem Capitão Hawkeye Pierce. Sua popularidade aumentou novamente quando ele conseguiu um papel no The West Wing. Sua boa aparência o ajudou também. Ele então passou a sediar o programa de TV Scientific American Frontiers, que ele fez por incríveis 15 anos. Ao longo de sua carreira, ele ganhou 7 prêmios Emmy e um Globo de Ouro, entre outros. Seu trabalho na televisão, assim como seu trabalho como diretor e escritor, ajudou-o a acumalar uma fortuna de US$ 40 milhões ao longo dos anos. Agora, aos 82 anos, ele faz de trabalhos de caridade e aparece nas telas de vez em quando.
