Margaret Julia “Marlo” Thomas, ou mais conhecida como Marlo Thomas, começou a atuar em 1960. Em seu início de carreira em 1961, Marlo e seu pai atuaram no mesmo episódio no Zane Gray Theatre, da CBS, Dick Powell. Ela também é produtora, ativista social e autora. Marlo começou a ser reconhecida ao atuar em uma comédia de 1966, That Girl, que durou até 1971, depois que ela decidiu parar de atuar na comédia, pois não acreditava que isso daria uma boa mensagem para o público feminino. Marlo ganhou vários prêmios, incluindo 4 Emmy’s, um Globo de Ouro, George Foster Peabody Award e também um prêmio pelo livro infantil, Free to Be … You and Me. Aos 82 anos, Marlo ainda atua ativamente e ainda é bonita em sua tenra idade.
