Ron Perlman – Gesichtsprothesen, Make-up, Schädeltasse & Haarteile
Der Maskenbildner Jake Garber verbrachte viel Zeit mit Perlman für seine Darstellung von Hellboy. Die drastische körperliche Veränderung beinhaltete eine Menge Prothesen, die sein ganzes Gesicht bedeckten, mit Ausnahme seiner Unterlippe. Auch wenn wir Hellboy nur in Rot kennen, beinhaltete die Transformation fünf zusätzliche Farben für Schattierungen und Gesichtskonturen. Eine Schädelkappe und vier Haarteile waren ebenfalls Teil des Deals. Perlman schaffte es auf die Liste der unerkennbarsten Transformationen, die Schauspieler für eine Rolle durchmachten, und die meisten von uns mussten warten, bis die Credits feststellten, dass er es war.
