Jared Leto unterzog sich einigen der drastischsten Veränderungen, bis hin zur Unkenntlichkeit. Er musste sich auf die Rolle des Mark David Chapman vorbereiten, der John Lennon tötete, und er nahm seine Aufgabe so ernst, wie es Hollywood wollte.
