Ein weiterer American Idol-Kandidat, der in die Reihe kommt, ist Jordin Sparks, die Tochter des ehemaligen NFL-Stars Phillippi Sparks. Sie gewann 2007 die sechste Staffel von Idol im Alter von 17 Jahren und ist damit eine der erfolgreichsten Teilnehmerinnen der Show aller Zeiten. Erst später, 2013, entschied sie, dass sie abnehmen musste. Bis 2015 hatte sie dank gesunder Ernährung und Training fünfmal pro Woche 50 Pfund abgenommen. Beeindruckend ist es ihr gelungen, die ersten 15 Pfund innerhalb der ersten vier Monate nach ihrer Gewichtsverlustreise fallen zu lassen. Jahre später hat sie es geschafft, ihre schlanke Gestalt zu bewahren.
