Brigitte Bardot war eines der Traummädchen ihrer Zeit. Sie wurde in den 50er und 60er Jahren als sehr großes Vorbild für Frauen bezeichnet. Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Prominenten, die sich der plastischen Chirurgie zuwenden, um sie jung aussehen zu lassen, entschied sich Bardot für das natürliche Altern, denn sie glaubt einfach nicht daran, sich chirurgischen Verfahren zu unterziehen. Ihre letzten Rollen als Schauspielerin waren in Filmen wie The Edifying and Joyous Story of Colinot and Don Juan (Or If Don Juan Were a Woman) zu sehen. Seitdem sie sich von der Schauspielindustrie zurückgezogen hat, ist Bardot eine begeisterte Tierschützerin.
