Die 57-jährige Schauspielerin wurde für ihre Rolle der Anomalisa in The Hateful Eight von 2015 mit einem Oscar nominiert. Im Jahr 2017 trat sie in der TV-Serie Twin Peaks auf. Sie war von 2005 bis 2013 mit Noah Baumbach verheiratet und bekam mit diesem Mann ein Kind.
