1986年放送の人気ドラマ『スケバン刑事Ⅲ』の「折鶴の結花」役で一気にブレイク。女優のイメージが強いですが、もともとは松田聖子に憧れたアイドル志望でした。友人の病気がきっかけで「ヘアドネーション」活動を知り、寄付を呼びかける運動もしています。2019年には4年ぶりの「風間三姉妹ライブ」とワンマンライブを開催、さらに今年はデビュー35周年ライブも予定されています。
