派手な衣装で歌って踊るアイドルスタイルながら、自分で作詞を手がけたり、ドラムやコーラスで楽曲にかかわるなど、アーティストとしてセルフプロデュースに成功。2007年には歌詞の内容どおり、足利市の渡良瀬橋と夕日が見える場所にヒット曲『渡良瀬橋』の歌碑が建てられました。1999年俳優の江口洋介さんと結婚、1男1女の母となりましたが、ミュージシャンとして精力的に活動中です。
