オーディション時からMCとんねるずに気に入られるなど期待が高かったおニャン子クラブ会員番号36番。ソロデビュー曲『深呼吸して』は当時のオリコン初登場1位の最年少記録でした。卒業後はバラエティで活躍。とんねるず、ビートたけし、タモリ、みのもんたなど強烈な個性の大物と渡り合い「猛獣使い」の異名をとりました。現在も夫である名倉潤さんを支える良き妻としてバラエティで活躍中です。
