Orlando Cruz and Jose Manuel Colon – Together Since 2012
Orlando Cruz, a professional boxer and the first openly gay athlete in the sport, and his partner Jose Manuel Colon, a physical therapist, have been together since 2012. It was the same year that Orlando came out publicly. The couple, who met through mutual friends, have since been outspoken advocates for LGBTQ+ rights.
Jose has supported him throughout his career. They are known for their strong bond and have been very private about their personal lives, although they often appear together at public events. After a Facebook proposal, they got married in 2013. They do not have children but are deeply committed to their shared advocacy work.
