Auch wenn sie mit Markus Lanz viele Jahre zusammen war und sie sogar einen gemeinsamen Sohn haben, haben sie dennoch niemals geheiratet. Schon seit 3 Jahren ist sie zusammen mit Frank Spothelfer, einem Unternehmer, der in der Schweiz arbeitet und es sieht so aus, als würden die beiden bald heiraten, denn Frank hat um ihre Hand angehalten. Sie sagt von sich selbst, dass Frank sie jung hält und dass sie sich nicht wie 62 sondern mehr wie 30 fühlt.
