Denise Austin – The Balancing Act, Born in 1957
Television fitness icon Denise Austin redefined what it really means by staying healthy and helped so many calorie-obsessed individuals eliminate the notion that carbohydrates are generally bad for you. She got herself involved into fitness at the early age of 12 and after earning her degree in physical education at California State University, she decided to pursue a full time career in fitness. After countless classes and fitness shows, her hard work paid off when she was appointed as one of the members of President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. Today, Denise Austin is 63 years old and still very much involved in the fitness world. Talk about dedication!
