The Notebook has quickly become a romantic classic, starring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams. In the movie, Gosling, who portrayed the character of Noah, didn’t opt for buying a home but rather started building one for his one and only love, while waiting for her to come back. To her big surprise, when Allie comes home after WWII, she is stunned by the amazing house he has built. Who wouldn’t be? But the scenes were actually shot in Charleston, South Carolina and the house sits in a specific location called Wadmalaw Island.
