When Villanova coach Jay Wright left his coaching position in 2022, all eyes were on him. Of course, that was mainly because he was only in his 60s, and college basketball coaches usually retire in their 70s. As to what Wright’s reason was, we can only guess, but what’s important is he has his wife, Patty Reilly, supporting his decision.
Fans who follow the career of the sports mentor know that his better half is a very encouraging and loving partner. Patty has had her husband’s back since 1983 when they first met while in college. They married shortly after and have been together for more than three decades.
