Der Hip-Hop-Rapper des neuen Jahrtausends wurde im Film Things Fall Apart 2011 (von ihm selbst) als Fußballspieler mit einer tödlichen Krankheit besetzt, und er verlor am Ende 54 Pfund. Viele Menschen waren um seine Gesundheit besorgt, aber es war nur wegen der Rolle, und er schwamm danach wieder zu seinem alten Körper. Angeblich mussten sich 50 Cent neun Wochen lang auf eine flüssigkeitsbasierte Ernährung verlassen, um all diese Pfunde abzubauen und für die Rolle geeignet zu sein. Er sagte tatsächlich, dass “er verhungerte” und er musste immer noch jeden Tag drei Stunden lang etwa drei Meilen auf dem Laufband laufen.
