Judy Garland – The Wizard Of Oz Outfit – $1.56 Million
Can you believe it’s been almost 90 years since The Wizard of Oz was released? It was one of the first true blockbusters, and it helped Judy Garland kick off her lucrative career and get herself a pretty high credit score. The costume she wore in the film was designed by Adrian, one of MGM’s most famous clothing specialists, and only ten were made at the time for Garland. In 2015, one of them was sold at an auction for $1.56 million, and was in mint condition, having only some sweat stains on its neck. Judy Garland died at 1969 when she was just 47 years old.
