Alicia Christian “Jodie” Foster ist eine vielseitige amerikanische Schauspielerin, Produzentin und Regisseurin. Sie begann 1965 mit der Schauspielerei und erschien 1965 im Alter von drei Jahren als Coppertone Girl in der Werbung. Danach arbeitete sie weiter in der Werbung und trat in verschiedenen Fernsehsendungen auf. Im Jahr 1976 landete Jodie eine Rolle in Taxi Driver, die zu einem großen Erfolg wurde. Jodie sagte, dass der Film nicht nur ihr Leben verändert hat, sondern auch, dass es ihr erstes Mal war, dass sie als etwas anderes als sie selbst agierte. Später wurde sie zu einer A-List Berühmtheit, die 3 British Academy Film Awards, 2 Academy Awards, 2 Golden Globe und den Cecil B DeMille Award erhielt.
