When TV star Lauren Conrad listed her 5,900-square-foot California home for a modest $5.2 million, we thought that everyone (who could afford it) would jump at the offer to own the posh, 5-bedroom house. With its hardwood floors and subway tiles, she may have received $4.999 million as her best offer yet (still a lot of money for her bank account).
