Former Disney Channel star Selena Gomez has spoken in interviews about a rocky childhood in which she and her single mother struggled to keep their finances intact. The Texas native has put her talent to work over the years and has amassed earnings of about $60 million. Gomez hasn’t forgotten where she came from, though; in 2015, she bought a 10,000-square foot mansion in Fort Worth where she could spend time with family and friends. Whether the home insurance was too high or Selena simply wasn’t spending much time there, she listed the estate for sale in 2016 at an asking price of $3 million.
