Celebrities You Thought Are Long Gone But They’re Not Retiring Just Yet

Celebrities come and go over the years, and we often forget about stars we used to love and idolize at one time during our lives. Sometimes, we even regard them as ‘dead’ if we haven’t heard about them in a while! However, you may be surprised to hear that some of the greatest actors, singers and other well-known public personalities are still very much alive and kicking! That’s why we’ve come up with this list to figure out who is still working or enjoying life in the next chapter of their lives – in retirement.

Edward Norton – 50

Edward Norton’s name made international after starring in the 1999 movie, Fight Club with Brad Pitt. That was just the beginning of his acting carrer, he then starred in various top movies including American History X, Motherless Brooklyn and even Marvel’s The Incredible Hulk and became an A-list celebrity. Edward excellent acting earned him his thrid Oscar nomination for his acting in Birdman. But lately fan has been wondering where Edward has been these days as he is rarely seen in big movie. Edward still acts, but he is also a prodcuer now so he does a lot of producing including for Lewis & Clark. He even does a lot of behind the scene for movies. In 2013, after the birth of his son Edward did told the press that he wants to focus more on his family so he will be taking a step back from acting and also will be more choosy on which movie he will act in.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar – 73

On top of players for the NBA, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has also worked as a coach assistant, he’s acted, and even written books. He’s found success in all the projects he’s undertaken, and today, he’s 73 years old and worth approximately $2o million. Kareem’s career started in 1969 when he first got to play for the Milwaukee Bucks. After switching for the Los Angeles Lakers, he went on to be their assistant coach. He’s even been awarded a Presidential Medal of Freedom by Barrack Obama. His latest book was Mycroft and Sherlock: The Empty Birdcage in 2019, and in 2020 he participated in the Basketball Country: In the Water documentary.

 

Clu Gulager – 89

 

Clu Gulager had acting in his DNA, because his father was an actor as well, despite having left the industry rather quickly. On TV, Gulager made an even bigger impact when he played Billy the Kid in The Tall Man series, back in the early ’60s. His film credits have been even more impressive over the years, appearing on The Killers, The Last Picture Show, and others. Gulager has also worked as a director, and his film A Day With the Boys got a Palme d’Or Award nomination in 1969. He appeared in the three Feast films directed by his son John Gulager between 2005 and 2008.
