Matthew McConaughey – verlor 50 Pfund
Matthew McConaughey bestätigte erst wieder seine großen schauspielerischen Fähigkeiten, als er die Rolle des AIDS-Patienten Woodruff im Dallas Buyers Club übernahm. Die Rolle war sehr anspruchsvoll, so dass Mathew übermäßig abnehmen musste. McConaughey hielt, Gewicht zu verlieren, das an einem strengen Diätplan haftet, der ihn sah, weg von ungefähr 3.5 Pfund pro Woche zu verlieren. McConaughey sagte, dass er es gesund tat und Rat von einem Ernährungsberater erhielt, wie man das Gewicht in vier Monaten fallen lässt. Er wurde schließlich von 50 Pfund von seinem Rahmen befreit. Der Film wurde in den 1980er Jahren gedreht, einer Zeit, in der HIV-Behandlungsverfahren noch nicht bekannt waren.
