Dawn French non si è limitata a recitare perché ha anche intrapreso la carriera di scrittrice e comica. Ha scritto e recitato nello spettacolo French and Saunders . Oltre alla sua attività sul grande schermo, la francese ha anche trovato il suo posto in molti spettacoli teatrali, l’ultimo dei quali è stato Biancaneve al Palladium nel 2018 e nel 2019. La sua perdita di peso è stata messa in discussione molto, ma afferma di aver appena fatto la giusta dieta ed esercizio fisico, piuttosto che rivolgersi alla chirurgia di bypass gastrico / chirurgia della manica gastrica.
