114. AA Gill – CANCER
AA Gill was a food, travel, and film critic who was quite a controversial name. He gained a lot of attention due to his caustic articles for The Sunday Times, while he also collaborated with Esquire and GQ. He won numerous awards for his writings and became one of the most widely read journalists of his era. Because of the addiction treatment program that saved him from his battle with drug and alcohol addiction, he later got the name “aa.” He passed away in 2016 after losing his battle with lung cancer.
