Barbara Eden fez sua primeira aparição como atriz em 1956, quando estava no The Johnny Carson Show. Depois, ela foi apareceu em muitos programas de TV e também em performances de palco. Após seu sucesso no showbiz, ela passou a estrelar filmes, alguns dos quais são A Private’s Affairs, Swingin ‘Along e Flaming Star, em que ela atuou ao lado da lenda do rock Elvis Presley. Seu papel mais famoso até hoje foi como Jeannie na comédia excepcionalmente popular Jeannie é um gênio, que estreou na década de 1960. Até 2016, Barbara ainda aparecia muito na televisão. Ela já fez planos oficiais de aposentadoria, mas quando o fizer, ficará confortável com seu patrimônio líquido de US$ 10 milhões.
